Saturday and Sunday, 7 AM – 5:30 PM

Monday to Friday, 5 AM – 1:30 PM

Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 5:30 PM

Monday to Friday, 6 PM – 10 PM

 

Responsibilities

Packing Clerk

 

A Packing Clerk processes customer orders: review packing requirements, verify merchandise to ensure all required items are included, physically pack orders including flannel, tissue, blue box, bowing and brown boxing. They are also responsible for maintaining integrity and accuracy of the order consistent with Tiffany & Co. policies and procedures and support other work areas of Distribution by flexing in to that department based on business demands. Follow all safety guidelines. Follow special packing specification for Canada, Australia, and International order.

  • Have a thorough knowledge of all Customer channel packing requirements in the areas of inline, offline and Pack to Ship. Fulfill the packing specifications for respective orders by verifying sku, description, quantity, attachments, and ensure Tiffany & Co. quality standards. Physically pack merchandise while fulfilling the packing specifications for each respective order. Ability to consistently meet or exceed the department standards for UPH productivity within each area such as P2S, Offline and Inline packing goals as communicated by the area Supervisor.
  • Responsible for scanning into work centers as directed by Supervisor for UPH accountability.
  • Resolve order non-compliance issues with Supervisor assistance.
  • Flex to other areas within the Distribution operation as requested. Prioritize checking email, participating in E-Learning classes and maintaining updated information in Self Service. Continually making sure system access is kept up to date including network functionality and PkMS access.
  • Safety: Work safely at all times by consistently following safe work procedure for the Packing area as well as all safety procedures at your worksite. Promptly report all incidents and safety issues to your supervisor. Maintain workstation-clean and orderly at end of shift.
  • Maintain a minimum UPH of 13.

Picking Operations Clerk

 

The Picking Operations Clerk is responsible for the timely and accurate handling of inbound receipts, the put away of inventory and the fulfilling of orders for outbound shipments, in a manner that is consistent with Tiffany & Co.’s policies. Using “pick to light” and the hand-held radio frequency scanner, the clerk will complete the picking process by placing merchandise into totes/LPNs and acknowledging system prompts. The clerk will also prepare merchandise to go to Packing utilizing the shrink wrap machine when necessary.

  • Picking In-Line – Ensure the accurate processing of orders using pick-to-light, and placing the merchandise in pick totes.
  • Picking-Offline – Ensure the accurate processing of orders using hand held-devices and placing the merchandise in pick totes or on carts. Utilize the PkMS system to identify the next destination for newly picked items and physically move the merchandise to the appropriate areas. 
  • Put Away – Ensure timely receipt and putaway of inventory by systematically and physically locating merchandise.
  • Receiving – Ensure the accurate and timely processing of jewelry receipts by confirming, sorting and moving containers to the various MHE’s.
  • Merchandise Prep – Carefully wrap merchandise in order to protect company assets, either through completely wrapping the merchandise for location or to prepare product to go through the shrink wrap machine. Safely operate the shrink wrap machine, learning how to load the film and troubleshoot any issues.
  • Cycle Counts- Perform daily, weekly and monthly threshold counts, as directed by Inventory Control. In addition, perform bi-annual cycle counts in all picking locations, paying close attention to accuracy and meeting deadlines as communicated by Inventory Control and your Supervisor.
  • Liaison – Work with Service Shops in preparing merchandise for return to stock (merchandise prep). Communicate as necessary to management any discrepancies or replenishment issues. Work with Inventory Control on performing Cycle Counts.
  • Human Resources – Work well independently, as well as in a group setting. Be flexible with daily duties, remain considerate of staff members and exhibit the ability to work efficiently under varying situations. Easily adapt to new responsibilities or areas requiring support, flexing to other duties or departments as required by management.
  • Cost Controls – Minimize, by an efficient approach to each task, the need for overtime. Minimize the creation of damages or the need for additional supplies, by maintaining a neat and organized work area.
  • Safety – Work safely at all times by consistently following safe work procedures for Picking as well as all safety procedures required by your worksite. Promptly report all incidents and safety issues to your supervisor.

 

Prepackers

 

Prepackers are responsible for the prepping of merchandise, utilizing the shrink wrap machine, to make it available for the releasing of orders and also outbound orders. A Prepacker is responsible for the accuracy of outbound orders and maintaining the integrity of stock merchandise by maintaining an organized work area, paying attention to detail when returning stock to location and upholding Tiffany & Co. standards. They are also responsible for communicating departmental concerns to the Coordinator and/or Supervisor and complying with all company policies and procedures

 

  • Preparation of merchandise to be returned to active stock, outbound orders in need of prep and orders that have been completed in the Etching shop. This includes opening of cartons and transport of carts or pallets of merchandise within the IPREP area.
  • Operation and troubleshooting of the shrink wrap machine to facilitate the preparation of merchandise with attention to what items can and cannot be sent though the machine. Reporting discrepancies, QA issues or damages, and any equipment/system problems to the department Coordinator or Supervisor.
  • Accurate repacking of stock merchandise to be returned to active locations or for induction into the Stratus, with special attention to CPQ and weight restrictions.
  • Working safely at all times by consistently following safe work procedures for your position, as well as all safety procedures required at your worksite. This includes correct use of all supplied equipment (safety knives, pallet jacks, etc.) and use of supplied PPE (eyewear, gloves, shrink wrap lift, pallet lift, etc.). Promptly reporting all incidents and safety issues to your supervisor.
  • Maintaining a clean, neat, and organized work environment, by ensuring the removal of scrap cardboard and bubble, with attention to Tiffany & Co.’s recycling efforts.
  • Perform special projects and flex to all departments within the RSC and CFC based on business demands.

 

Material Handler

 

A Material Handler is responsible for supporting an appropriate workflow and distributing supplies to the staff in the production area. The position requires the Material Handler to request packaging quantities and support the replenishment of assorted items to the appropriate packing area. This is achieved by surveying all packing stations and aisle locations, while documenting inbound and outbound materials and supplies. In addition, the Material Handler will need to operate material handling equipment such as the AAV, Print & Apply, Zebra Printer, Bailer, pallet jacks and carton erector.

  • Replenish the Active Supply Storage area and Pack Stations while ensuring that all supply areas are uniform and neat. Remove trash and empty boxes from the packing stations and place them in receptacles at the end of the lanes. Respond in an expedient manner to Packing staff, offering support to ensure that supply inventory is accurate and available. Pull order materials from storage locations and transport to production or shipping area.
  • Participate in the rotation schedule for the operation and maintenance of the carton erector and cardboard bailer.
  • Assist Packing staff with large orders and move cartons onto the conveyor or directly to the Shipping department with the use of a pallet jack. Assist Dock Operations as needed. Add empty totes to conveyor line as needed.
  • Putaway delivered items and verify the inventory levels. Prepare replenishment re-stock order forms as needed. Regularly check stock levels and outstanding purchasing requisitions, to ensure proper inventory.
  • Communicate via radio, supply needs, area coverage and equipment issues. Periodically check e-mail and participate in e-learning classes and maintain updated information in Self-Service. Ensure consistent functionality of radio device and communicate any device issues to your supervisor that prevent you from maintaining a normal flow of communication between you and other material handlers.
  • Address all Print and Apply, AAV and Zebra printer lights in a timely manner, while performing the general cleaning, maintenance and replenishment of the equipment as needed, to keep pace with the daily workflow.
  • Remove materials from conveyed equipment and move the inventory to the designated staging area. Provide support for incoming shipments, which includes packaging supplies, bubble, products, parts, or raw materials.
  • Work safely at all times by consistently following safe work procedures for Material Handling/Dock Operations, as well as all safety procedures required by your worksite. Promptly report all incidents and safety issues to your supervisor.

     

     

     

Dock Operations Clerk

 

The Dock Operations Clerk is responsible for the timely and accurate handling of inbound receipts, the put away of inventory and supplies, and the processing of outbound shipments, in a manner that is consistent with Tiffany & Co.’s policies. They work primarily on the dock and interact with both internal staff members and members from various external shipping organizations. In addition, Dock Operations staff also replenishes and utilizes the AAV printers, Print and Apply label printers and the carton erector as needed.

  • Receiving – Ensure the accurate and timely processing of totes and cartons containing merchandise, by sorting, verifying, scanning, moving, and signing for packages or containers. Enable dock doors after hours when Security is not present.
  • Put Away – Ensure timely receipt and putaway of merchandise and packing supplies in the offline Active and Reserve Storage area.
  • Replenishment- Fill active picking locations and work with Material Handlers to ensure requested packaging supplies are fulfilled in the appropriate packing aisles.
  • Shipping – Ensure the accurate and timely processing of orders, by sorting, verifying, scanning, moving, loading, and resolving issues for all outbound packages or containers.  Use Tiffany shipping systems and all approved transport vendors to ship packages.
  • Mail – Ensure that inbound and outbound of mail is appropriately processed to ensure customer receipt and proper dispatch to the RSC for mail sorting.
  • Liaison – Communicate discrepancies, as necessary, to management. Exhibit efficient and professional demeanor when communicating with external and internal “customers”, as well as co-workers. Provide information on tracking numbers, carrier pick-up, delivery timeframes and supply packlists. Monitor and respond to inquiries within the CFC Receiving mailbox and CFC Dock Operations mailbox.
  • Administrative – Maintain and file all the appropriate logs and records, production spreadsheets and receiving documents. Generate shipping manifests and ensure proper signatures are obtained as needed. Utilize internet for processing customs documentations and package tracking information. Complete Bill Of Lading document, utilize facsimile machine to communicate orders, and ensure that all cartons are labeled properly, while in the correct systematic and physical locations. Perform periodic cycle counts.
  • Human Resources – Work well independently, as well as in a group setting. Be flexible and considerate in all situations when working with peers. Adapt easily to new responsibilities or areas requiring support.
  • Cost Controls – Work efficiently when approaching all tasks and minimize need for overtime usage. Reduce damages and the need for additional supplies, by maintaining a neat and organized work area.
  • Safety-Work safely at all times by consistently following safe work procedures for Dock Operations, as well as all safety procedures required by your worksite. Promptly report all incidents and safety issues to your supervisor.
