Overview

The Manager of Analytics will support functional teams in operations, marketing, merchandising, workforce management, and others. This position requires experience in creating and maintaining robust statistical models using the appropriate methodology, approach, and tools. The manager will be able to lead multiple projects while also tactically supporting the analytical needs of the organization.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Provide analytical leadership and expertise to retail support functions including operations, labor management, marketing, merchandising, supply chain and more. Create analytics standards, define requirements, and establish best practices that will enable the execution of analytical projects and initiatives.
  • Lead and develop a team of analysts/data scientists to provide robust analytical support to the functional retail partners. Provide the necessary expertise and leadership to mature the analytical growth of the retail organization.
  • Provide ad hoc support to functional teams with data extracts, manipulation, reporting, and analysis. Direct and oversee experiments/analysis to inform key strategic and operational decisions.
  • Lead the innovation and development of tools, dashboards, reporting that support retail field and functional support teams.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Operations, or similar.
  • Excel Expert, VBA – 6-8 years.
  • Analytics & Statistics – 6-8 years.
  • Analytics Technology: SQL, SAS, Python, R – 5-7 years.
  • Tableau – 3-5 years.
  • Developing executive level presentations 3-5 years.
  • Experience developing and maintaining advanced analytics models.
  • Experience providing analytical support in marketing, operations, supply chain, sales, and other similar retail functions.
  • Experience with verbal & written communication to senior leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Administration, or similar.
  • Knowledge or background in data engineering is a plus.
  • Self-motivated, able to work with and without guidance.
  • Experience leading direct reports.
  • Retail analytics experience.
