The Process Engineer is responsible for identifying and implementing efficiencies within the manufacturing process. The Process Engineer Partners with Manufacturing and Engineering to make recommendations and develop improvements in facility layout, equipment, and manufacturing process. The Process Engineer manages relevant projects and utilizes Lean principles to endure the highest levels of efficiency. Greater than 50% of the Process Engineer’s workway should be spent on the manufacturing production floor.
Time in motion studies: Study and analyze labor, turn time, productivity, equipment, etc. on a scheduled recurring basis. Responsible for developing or maintain work measurement standards for various operational job functions and processes. Create analytical & statistical tools, database queries, reports and related items to aid this effort,. Recommend workflow, equipment, facility layout changes, or other changes based on analysis.
Lean manufacturing: Identify areas for the introduction/improvement of Lean/SS manufacturing processes. Make recommendations where applicable for best practices, process optimization on waste reduction, performance measurement. Deliverables include waste reduction, improved efficiencies within manufacturing.
Product costing: Define and analyze product costing process. Identify opportunities within the manufacturing process for cost reduction through improved efficiencies.
New Product Integration: Partner with Manufacturing on Production Test Runs (PTR) to insure seamless integration of new products into the production flows. Optimal routings, required tooling, and Critical To Manufacturing documentation validation with Manufacturing, feedback to New Product Integration Team, and updating as required to support new product launches.
Project Management: Define scope, schedule, and means of implementation for industrial engineering projects. Facilitate project team meetings, updates, research, and the presentation of relevant analysis and materials. Utilize core understanding of engineering processes to assist in integration of technical solutions into existing processes.

Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related with 5+ years related experience
Previous Time Study or Work Measurement Standards development experience
Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills
Excellent interpersonal skills, with emphasis on team work
Ability to understand, communicate and create technical manufacturing documentation
Strong analytical, research and related skills
Solid project & time management skills
Knowledge of jewelry manufacturing techniques and precious metallurgy
Working knowledge of JD Edwards System or other enterprise systems
Experience working in a factory
CAD knowledge (Autocad, Rhino, Solidworks, other)
Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering or related discipline
