Tiffany & Co. is currently seeking a Strategic Sourcing Specialist for Marketing based in New York, NY. The primary purpose of this role is executing enterprise-wide procurement and cost optimization opportunities, capturing cost reduction on Tiffany expenditures for goods and services, and assisting the Manager – Global Procurement with the execution of procurement strategy.
The Strategic Sourcing Specialist for Marketing will support the planning and execution of strategic sourcing initiatives using a multi-step sourcing process/ S/He will develop category specification requirements and scopes of work consistent with business requirements and Global Procurement strategy. This role will conduct spend analytics and utilize analytical expertise to deliver a comprehensive total cost of ownership assisting the business in delivering measurable cost savings.
Th Specialist will initiate and structure RFI’s and RFP’s, participate in supplier negotiations and support negotiation strategies based on supplier proposals and spend analytics. S/He will manage supplier selection process and provide data and recommendations to ensure informed business awards while developing contractual agreements in collaboration with business and legal departments. The Specialist will support the supplier quarterly business review process as needed. Additionally, this position will identify continuous improvement initiatives and monitor markets to assess opportunities resulting from new technology and product offerings.
Bachelor’s in Finance, Economics, or Supply Management
Minimum of 2 to 4 years of strong category and general procurement experience, ideally in Marketing
Excellent math and analytical skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Demonstrated ability to work with suppliers and strong relationship management experience
Knowledge of contract fundamentals
Proficient in Microsoft and knowledge of procurement tools
Ability to interact with all levels of Management
Master’s Degree, CPM or similar certification is a plus
